INGREDIENTS
- 2 medium slice (yield after cooking) Bacon
- 8 oz Turkey Sausage
- 4 ounces Ground Beef (80% Lean / 20% Fat)
- 2 1/2 servings High Protein TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein)
- 1/2 cup, chopped Onions
- 1/2 cup chopped Celery
- 1/2 cup, chopped Carrots
- 4 cups Chicken Broth, Bouillon or Consomme
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
DIRECTIONS
- Dice the bacon and add to a large nonstick skillet. Cook over medium heat until it begins to brown. Add the sausage and beef to brown, breaking up the meat into small bits with a spatula or spoon (about 7 minutes).
- Stir in the TVP and chopped vegetables. Cook 5 minutes until vegetables begin to soften.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes, skimming off excess fat from the surface of the liquid. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
