Pickled Daikon Radish and Carrot

Pickled Daikon Radish and Carrot Ingredients 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar 1/4 cup white sugar 1 small carrot, peeled and cut into matchsticks 1 daikon radish, peeled and cut into matchsticks 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro 1 Thai chile pepper, seeded and chopped Directions Heat vinegar and sugar in a saucepan over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, and refrigerate to cool. Place daikon and carrot in a glass jar with the cilantro and chile peppers. Pour the cooled vinegar mixture over, submerging the vegetables. Texas Coleslaw

Texas Coleslaw Goes great with barbecues and picnics. Ingredients 1 cup mayonnaise 1 tablespoon lime juice 1 tablespoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 medium head green cabbage, rinsed and very thinly sliced 1 large carrot, shredded 2 green onions, sliced 2 radishes, sliced Directions In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lime juice, cumin, salt and pepper. When steamed, the radishes are tender and sweet….. delicious!” Ingredients 20 radishes 2 tablespoons water 1/4 cup butter Directions Trim the ends off of the radishes and peel a band of radish-skin from around the middle of the radish.
